DJEMBE DRUM LESSONS
AFRICAN DRUMS
The djembe (pronounced JEM-bay) is one of the most versatile and well-known percussion instruments. It is extremely popular because it can create an unusually wide range of pitches, from the bass (low) to tone (medium) and even slap (high). Different areas of the djembe skin are struck with the hands to create these sounds.
Students will:
- Learn to play this hugely fun and festive percussion instrument.
- Learn rhythm and percussion skills.
- Build self-confidence and performance skills.
- Learn different the Djembe in accompaniment with other instruments as well.
Private Lessons
New students are able to start lessons at any time during the year. We will provide weekly music lessons with a professional music teachers and individual approach to every student.
Private lessons are available on a weekly basis for 30 min., 45 min., or 1-hr durations. Most beginners will find 30 minute lesson is a sufficient amount of time.
